Personal
- Bathe in honor of Shabbos
- Cut nails in honor of Shabbos
- Cut hair in honor of Shabbos
- Cut off tags from new clothing
- Remove dry cleaner tags
- Wash, iron and mend clothes needed for Shabbos
- Polish shoes in honor of Shabbos
- Check suit and coat pockets for muksta
Kitchen
- Prepare hot water in urn or thermos
- Turn off fridge lights
- Prepare tea essence
- Pre-cut paper towels
- Pre-cut aluminum foil
- Pre-cut garbage bags
- Pre-cut plastic tablecloths
- Pre-cut toilet paper
- Open bottles, cans and packages as necessary
- Set up Shabbos plata or blech
- Cover table with white cloth
- Take out last bag of garbage
- Wash or store away pots and dishes not needed for Shabbos
Learning
- Read and review parsha
- Prepare dvar Torah for each meal
- Print parsha questions
- Prepare Shabbos treats
- Have children remove daf kesher from schoolbags
General
- Set Shabbos clock
- Polish candlesticks
- Prepare candles for lighting
